About the Role:

A leading global medical communications agency is seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager to join their Medical team. This role focuses on delivering impactful medical publications and medical affairs projects that support healthcare advancements and patient outcomes.

In this client-facing role, you will act as a trusted advisor to pharmaceutical clients, lead key accounts, and manage end-to-end delivery of high-quality medical communications programmes while supporting junior team members’ development.

Core Responsibilities:

Lead day-to-day client meetings and status calls, ensuring exceptional service delivery
Proactively anticipate client needs and propose strategic solutions
Manage medical publications and medical affairs projects, ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards
Provide high-level strategic counsel to clients with support from senior leadership
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including thought leaders and third-party partners
Manage client budgets, including forecasting, resource planning, and reconciliation
Identify new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients
Mentor, train, and support junior team members to foster their development

Requirements:

Proven experience in medical communications agency account management, ideally within publications or medical affairs
Strong track record of meeting or exceeding project and account targets
Excellent financial management skills, including budget development, forecasting, and reconciliation
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, delegate, and manage multiple projects
Excellent writing and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to varied audiences
High attention to detail and strong knowledge of industry compliance and regulatory codes (local and international)
Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
