A leading Lloyd’s syndicate is seeking an experienced and driven International Healthcare Underwriter to join its International Specialty Programmes team. This team provides bespoke binder, lineslip, and master policy placements for small to medium-sized risks across global markets.

In this role, you will underwrite and manage a profitable portfolio of international healthcare business, including support for innovative products such as Virtual Care. You will develop tailored programme solutions, assess risk and pricing accuracy using rating models, and maintain oversight of key performance metrics such as premiums, claims ratios, and profitability.

We're looking for a proactive underwriter with:

• Solid experience underwriting delegated authority or programme business (binder and lineslip knowledge essential)
• Previous exposure to international healthcare risks (preferred)
• Strong technical knowledge of underwriting principles, processes, and systems
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with strong attention to detail
• The ability to build and maintain broker and Coverholder relationships globally
• A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with the capability to mentor junior staff
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Client service excellence and a deep understanding of risk management are essential, as is the ability to operate independently and manage complex accounts in a fast-paced, regulated environment. International travel may be required.
