This role is ideal for a seasoned medical affairs professional with strong scientific acumen, strategic leadership experience, and a passion for building client relationships and high-performing teams. As Senior Manager, you’ll drive key strategic accounts, mentor and grow a multidisciplinary team, and help shape the future of our scientific communications offering.
Role Responsibilities & Requirements:

- Operational Targets and KPI: Achieves personal targets and KPIs, taking proactive corrective action when they are likely to be missed.
- Project Leadership: Lead the development of high-quality scientific content across various deliverables (e.g., slide decks, advisory board materials, training content, medical education tools, publications, etc.).
- Client Management: Act as a key client contact and strategic advisor, ensuring clear communication, proactive planning, and strong relationship building with internal stakeholders, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and external collaborators.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of medical writers and/or consultants, supporting their development and ensuring editorial excellence across all content.
- Strategic Oversight: Provide guidance and oversight on project planning, client communications, and internal workflows.
- Business Development: Contribute to cross-functional initiatives, proposals, and new business efforts.
- Process Adherence: Use relevant internal processes to support consistent and effective execution of responsibilities. Provide recommendations to improve existing processes and support associated initiatives.
- Learning and Development: Engage with development opportunities and support the growth of others through feedback and knowledge sharing.
Essential Traits & Skills:
- Passionate about scientific communication and the life sciences
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proven ability to write and edit complex scientific content for various audiences
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Demonstrates ownership, accountability, and attention to detail

Qualifications & Experience:
Essential
- Advanced degree in life sciences (PhD, PharmD, or MSc required)
- 7+ years of experience in medical communications, scientific affairs, or related roles in pharma, biotech, or consulting
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and leading teams through evolving client needs and priorities
- A strong sense of ownership and accountability for both project outcomes and client satisfaction
- Proven leadership experience, including direct team management, strategic client leadership, and scientific oversight
- Strong business acumen and a track record of growing client relationships and identifying new opportunities
- Experience managing complex, multi-stream projects and working with cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- A collaborative, proactive leader who leads with integrity, curiosity, and vision
Desirable
- Experience across multiple therapeutic areas
- Familiarity with medical, regulatory, or publication standards
- Understanding of Global and/or US healthcare landscapes
