Are you a passionate chef ready to take the next step in your culinary career? We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Chef de Partie to join our busy kitchen team. As a Chef de Partie at Gretna Green Ltd, you’ll be responsible for running your own section, producing high-quality dishes, and contributing to a smooth, efficient kitchen operation. Working alongside experienced Head and Sous Chefs, you'll help create memorable experiences for guests from around the world — whether they're here for a romantic wedding, a family celebration, or a hearty Scottish meal. _*Main Responsibilities*_
* Lead and manage your section during service * Prepare, cook and present dishes to a consistently high standard * Support the Head and Sous Chefs in delivering colleague training and mentoring * Work efficiently to ensure quality and speed without compromising standards * Maintain portion control, minimise waste, and assist in stock control and ordering * Contribute ideas for menu development and innovation * Adhere to all Health & Safety and Food Hygiene procedures * Foster positive working relationships with all departments * Maintain a clean, organised, and professional kitchen environment
_*What We’re Looking For*_
* Minimum of 3–4 years’ experience as a *Commis Chef* or 2 years as a *Demi Chef de Partie* * Relevant culinary qualifications (BTEC, HNC, HND or equivalent in professional cookery) * Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene certification (essential) * Previous experience in high-volume, fast-paced kitchens * Strong work ethic, teamwork, and a proactive attitude * Excellent communication skills and a passion for food * Computer literacy (advantageous) * Flexibility to work shifts including weekends (5 days out of 7)
