Main duties of the job
- Provide a clinical dietetic service to Oxford University Hospitals Trust patients, including responsibility for highly specialised clinical areas.
- Deliver a high-quality Nutrition and Dietetic Service to the Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit and cover the Neuroscience Inpatient Units with support from a Band Dietitian.
- Lead, supervise, and support dietitians providing services in Critical Care Units at the John Radcliffe Hospital and Churchill Hospital, and Neurosciences Units at the John Radcliffe. Initiate and lead discussions on organisational, professional, and clinical issues.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide a flexible, prioritised service based on clinical needs. Serve as an expert resource for local and national dietetic colleagues regarding nutritional management of these patient groups.
- Educate, train, and disseminate information to healthcare professionals, including clinicians, nurses, AHPs, dietetic colleagues, and students, especially related to patient care in the specified clinical areas.
- Participate in the development of evidence-based trust-wide multidisciplinary nutrition guidelines and policies.
- Collaborate with the Service Manager and other Dietetic Team Leads to support the department's operations and development.
