We are now seeking a Maternity Cover within the Grocery Team for a National Account Manager who can join us and continue to support and build our business within our heartland channel.
Role
This is a key role within the Commercial team and reports directly into Head of Grocery, with the NAM taking full responsibility for delivering our growth plans across key strategic partners including Waitrose, Boots, Ocado & Booths. Working across all functions the NAM will seek to develop and unlock business opportunities which will achieve and exceed financial KPI targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development – implement the strategic growth plan, working cross-functionally with Category to drive Shaken Udder into extended distribution across the account base on both Core and NPD.
- Take ownership of their Account portfolio with responsibility for delivering Net Sales Value and Gross Margin KPI’s
- Proactively work with the Category Team to land data and insights around performance and unlock category opportunities.
- Shopper and Trade Marketing Plans – work alongside Marketing colleagues to plan and execute shopper and trade marketing plans to grow brand presence and drive retailer sales performance.
- NPD Pipeline – identify opportunities in the market to develop the retail range and collaborate with commercial colleagues to bring innovative concepts to market.
- Sales Forecasting – work with Finance to develop annual sales forecasts and ensure alignment of sales volumes with Operations department.
The person
- An individual that shows passion, energy, and motivation to achieve stretching new business targets.
- 2 - 3 years’ experience, in a similar Account Management role, or as a Junior NAM looking for the next step and be able to demonstrate a growth mindset and tangible achievements.
- Experience in FMCG negotiations, structured selling skills and experience in dealing with buyers and other key customer contacts.
- A track record of customer relationships and building cross functional internal relationships/networks to achieve results.
- Demonstrates a track record of taking the initiative, delivering, and managing several key projects at the same time.
- Relish the challenge of working in a small team with a high level of responsibility to deliver.
- Strong communication skills in managing multiple stakeholders internally and externally.
- Thrive on taking ownership for delivery of targets and projects.
