We are seeking a highly organised, experienced anddetail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team. Working 20 hours over 5weekdays, the Medical Receptionist will be responsible for providing excellentcustomer service, managing patient appointments, and performing variousadministrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skillsand the ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office environment. Main duties of the job - Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring apositive and welcoming experience - Schedule patient appointments and maintain the appointmentcalendar - Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in aprofessional and courteous manner - Maintain patient records and update information asnecessary - Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning,mail/post and data entry About us Overview of your organisation We are a friendly, patient focused, team orientated practicesituated Oldham, Greater Manchester serving 6700 patients. Our team consists of4 GP partners, 3 salaried GPs, 1 practice nurse, 1 AP, 2 HCAs, a pharmacist, afocussed care worker, a safeguarding care coordinator as well as a fullyestablished admin team. Our practice is also a training practice with up to 5trainees at different stages of training supported by the partners and salaryGPs. Further job details available on request. Person Specification Experience Essential Good standard of education - GCSE (A-C) 6 and over. Previous experience in GP surgery. Emis and Docman experience. Proficient in using office equipment such as computers, printers, and scanners. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
