New Yesterday

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Medical Education Manager to join HCRG Care Group and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of medical training across our organisation. This is a brand-new position, created in response to the growth of our medical workforce and the increasing number of students and trainees we support.

In this influential role, you'll design, implement, and lead a robust medical education structure that supports doctors, dentists, and trainees at every stage of their career. Working closely with the Chief Medical Officer and our Learning Enterprise, you will ensure that our education programmes meet the highest standards set by the GMC, NHSE, and Royal Colleges. You'll also take responsibility for securing and maximising medical education funding, including tariffs, and ensuring resources are allocated effectively to deliver high-quality placements, CPD opportunities, and re-validation support.

You will build strong relationships with internal leaders and external partners, driving innovation and embedding best practice in every aspect of our medical education offer. This is a hybrid, national role with regional and UK-wide travel, offering you the scope to make a significant impact and the autonomy to deliver meaningful change in how we support our medical professionals to develop and thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive medical education framework across the organisation.
  2. Ensure all education programmes and placements comply with GMC, NHSE, and Royal College standards.
  3. Identify, secure, and manage medical education funding streams, including tariffs.
  4. Oversee the effective allocation of funding to support placements, CPD, and re-validation.
  5. Lead the development and delivery of CPD and re-validation processes for all medical colleagues.
  6. Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer, Learning Enterprise, and senior stakeholders to deliver high-quality training.
  7. Build strong relationships with external bodies such as deaneries, GMC, and NHSE.
  8. Monitor, evaluate, and report on the impact of education and quality improvement initiatives.
  9. Ensure optimal use of facilities and resources to support trainees, students, and staff.
  10. Contribute to curriculum design and develop innovative educational resources.
