Graphic Designer - Social-First (London Area)

We're looking for a creatively-led, digitally-native Graphic Designer to join our growing team at AND THE NEW.
This isn't just about making things look good (although we care deeply about that). We want someone who can bring creative ideas to life, help brands grow online, and work in lockstep with strategists and content creators to deliver design that performs. You’ll play a key role across our clients in sport, entertainment, and lifestyle—building brands, not just decorating them.
We're after someone who gets social-first design, has worked across brand worlds (not just sports templates), and has the confidence to stand by their ideas and pitch them into different stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design social-first content across multiple formats: statics, stories, reels, carousels, campaign visuals and more.
- Contribute to creative ideation and help bring pitch decks to life with impactful visuals.
- Develop design systems and templates that deliver consistency at speed.
- Adapt assets for different platforms and campaigns, always staying on-brand.
- Collaborate with strategists, content leads and editors to make ideas stronger and sharper.
- Take ownership of your output, while staying open to feedback and fast-moving priorities.
- To respond quickly to business and client needs (e.g. short timescale projects, last-minute requests and last-minute changes).
- Create designs for our clients on everything from YouTube thumbnails through to global campaign hero visual identities and support across complete rebrands.
- Proactively come to the table with new, exciting ideas for our clients that will help them achieve their objectives across social media and beyond.
- Ensure all projects are managed and delivered on time and to the highest quality.
YOU SHOULD HAVE
- 1–3 years of design experience (agency, brand or freelance).
- A portfolio that shows creative thinking, social fluency and variety.
- Experience working across multiple brands or industries (not just sports).
- Deep knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects).
- Awareness of how to use AI tools (e.g. Midjourney, Runway, Firefly) to enhance creativity, speed up workflows, and push design possibilities.
- Strong understanding of how to design for social—hooks, formats, pacing, dimensions.
- Confidence explaining your creative decisions to both team and clients.
- You are a digital and social native, with strong knowledge of social platform fundamentals, methodologies, and techniques. You are experienced in creating designs and assets to be used across these channels.
- Natural curiosity and willing to learn.

- Have motion design skills (even light animation).
- Have worked with web design tools (Figma, Squarespace, Webflow).

- Know how to storyboard and shape content ideas visually.
BENEFITS AND SALARY
- Salary range £25,000 – £30,000 (dependant on experience).
