About the Role:

A leading global medical communications agency is seeking an experienced and dynamic Account Manager to join their Medical team. As an Account Manager, you will be the primary day-to-day liaison for clients, managing healthcare communications programmes to align with client objectives and deliver meaningful outcomes.

In this client-facing role, you will work closely with senior colleagues to manage projects, oversee junior team members, and contribute to internal initiatives that support the agency’s collaborative culture.

Core Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain trusted relationships as the key day-to-day client contact
• Listen actively to client needs, address them proactively, and resolve issues with senior counsel when needed
• Drive tactical proposals for Requests for Proposals (RfPs)
• Identify opportunities to expand existing work, seeking senior support for new business opportunities
• Lead and manage projects, developing and refining project briefs while appropriately budgeting
• Adapt to each client’s working and communication style
• Provide clear communication within the team for efficient information sharing
• Guide junior team members to support their professional growth, providing constructive feedback
• Contribute to internal initiatives, including social activities, Diversity & Inclusion, CSR electives, and training sessions

Requirements:

• Proven experience in agency account management, with a record of meeting or exceeding targets
• Strong financial management skills, including budget development and reconciliation
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise and re-prioritise effectively
• Strong writing and presentation skills, adaptable to different audiences
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Understanding of industry codes and regulations
